Warner Bros Studio Tour London
The Warner Bros. Studio Tour is an attraction based around the making of the Harry Potter Franchise. Audience members are first shown a film about the making of Harry Potter, before going through the doors to the Great Hall and exploring the sets, costumes, models and props beyond. From Dumbledore's office to the Hogwarts Express, there is something there for every Harry Potter fan.
What this installation has taught me:
When I went to the Warner Bros. Studios, I was struck by the level of detail. They had thought about every inch of space, making sure that it fit into the world they were trying to create. Even though we were in a studio, and it was clear that that was what it was, everything from the music to the style of cup you were served represented Harry Potter. This is something that I need to consider when designing for my immersive experiences, it's not just about the main piece and what it does, its surroundings need to be considered as well.
