Hazard Alley

Hazard Alley is an immersive health and safety themed installation in Milton Keynes.  Opened in 1994, this attraction was designed with the help of Bucks Fire and Rescue and Thames Valley Police to help teach children about various hazards they may experience in day to day life.

What this installation has taught me:

Hazard alley uses hands on scenarios to make learning about safety less of a lecture and more enjoyable. When I went I found that they created such an interactive world that I was left bitterly disappointed when the internet safety portion was just a film on a screen. It took me right out of the experience and I was left bored. I need to make sure with my work that each piece is as engaging as the last to avoid this scenario.
